Patsy Ann Spielman, age 68, of Berkeley Springs, WV, died on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born August 30, 1944 in Berkeley Springs, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ray Jackson and Alice Frances Henry Merica.
She was of the Methodist faith. She was a 1963 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School. She retired in 2005, after 32 years of service, as an assembler with Fleetwood Industries in Hancock, MD. She was a past member of South Morgan Volunteer Fire Department. Patsy enjoyed cooking and was a warm hearted, giving person. She kept her great sense of humor until the very end.
Surviving are her daughter, Karleen Yvonne Spielman of Hanover, PA, one brother, Richard Henry Merica of Berkeley Springs and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David John Spielman on December 13, 1999 and two brothers, Ray Jackson Merica, Jr. and Kenneth Edward Merica.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV with the Rev. Dr. G. Edward Grove officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Saturday at the funeral home, which will be open from noon – 8:00 p.m. for the convenience of family and friends.
